About Us

OUR MISSION

Lucky Tales Rescue is a community focused non-profit organization. Our goal is to save and protect unwanted animals by educating the community, adopting to responsible homes, and providing lifelong support for our adopters. With love and determination, we ensure proper placement by matching animals with appropriate forever homes and helping the animals start their own lucky tale. Our rescue is made up of a group of dedicated volunteers who focus on a better quality of life for the animals whose lives we touch. Our volunteer group is our rescue family; we operate and conduct ourselves just like a true family would. Our hope is that through education and support we can prevent animals from being abandoned and left alone in shelters.

LAURA MORGAN

OWNER / PRESIDENT

Laura's love for animals goes back as long as she can recall. She started volunteering with animal rescues over ten years ago. It didn't take long for the passion to develop. It soon brought her to a group of people who shared in that passion -- and Lucky Tales Rescue was born. When she isn't busy with her teaching career, she is usually spending time with her husband, son (and 5 dogs, 4 cats, a horse and a bearded dragon!)

President: Laura Morgan
Laura has had a love for animals for as long as she can remember. She started volunteering with animal rescues 10 years ago. Her passion for rescue brought her to a group of people who shared in that passion--and Lucky Tales Rescue was born. When she isn't busy with her teaching career, you can find Laura spending time with her fur-children: Gabbie, a Lab/Shepherd mix and Laura's "soul dog". Titus, a goofy Yellow Labrador.  Alexa, a feisty Chihuahua/Westie mix who usually looking for a good snuggle. Emmy, a Beagle/Collie mix who spends her time snuggling and getting spoiled. Shakira, a fiesty Chihuahua who thinks she runs the world. Kimber who many of you may know. He is a goofy, clumsy, BIG German Shepherd Then there are the cats Big Mama, Addie, Kensi, & Deeks. Beemer is their 6 year old horse. And last but not least, Gryffindor the bearded dragon.. Laura's hobbies include scrapbooking, reading, riding horses, and spending time with family! She looks forward to helping animals find their lucky tale.

Secretary: Amanda Dunn
Amanda has been involved in the care of animals for her whole life. She was raised with all species of animals and immediately began a career in the veterinary industry after high school. She started volunteering for a pit bull specific rescue in NY and began her education in dog training in 2008.  Her passion remains with helping bully breeds through rescue and community outreach.

She and her husband, Christopher, share their home with 7 dogs, 10 cats, and a few other small critters. In her spare time she is working towards her college degree and watching The Walking Dead. Her hope is to soon be back involved in dog training, providing life long guidance for the dogs who pass through Lucky Tales.

Board Member: Christine Vickers

Christine Vickers is a strong and passionate person. She is the mother of 2 children, and the "CC" of two grand-babies. She spends her days teaching middle school for the Gallatin County Board of Education. She has fostered many furbabies and sees to it that they find their own happy tales. She also helps transport when there is a need from the local animal shelters. Christine has three of her own furbabies. Penelope Picklehead (Penny), Bon Jovi. and Batman. Penny is a Treeing Walker Coonhound and keeps Christine on her toes more often than not. She is the primary reason Christine moved to the country. Bon Jovi is a "rock star" and loves to be the center of attention while giving the most soulful glances. Batman is the newest addition, a foster failure. He is an Akita and is the most caring and intuitive dog! In her spare time (as she giggles) she enjoys crafting, reading, baking, and walking the dogs.
