The animal remains in your care. We will list the animal on our social media sites, collect applications, and screen applicants on your behalf until a suitable home is found.
You agree to keep Lucky Tales informed about the status of the animal. This includes responding to emails in a timely manner, informing us if the pet has been rehomed outside of this process,
If an adoption happens, a representative from our rescue must be present during the adoption/rehoming - a contract ensures the best outcome for your pet.
The pet must be up to date on all shots, spayed/neutered, heartworm negative / FELV negative. Please call your vet to give permission for the pet's records to be released to us.
We require at least 3 clear, bright, cute photos of your pet. A picture is the first thing someone will see - make it memorable. You are always welcome to send updated photos to us to help the rehoming process.
Please note that we do not do trial adoptions. We promote a lifelong adoption with the animal and family. Therefore, we want to ensure that it is a proper placement from the start. We do understand that things come up, which is why we promise to support you through this process and after the adoption. We also want to make sure people understand we do not work on a first come first serve basis. We are looking for the most appropriate and best fit for the animal and will make our decision with that in mind.
No refunds on adoption fees.
Our web host does not provide the option to upload photos. Upon submitting the application, please email at least three clear, well-lit, happy photos of your pet. We want to drive interested adopters to the listing and providing awesome pictures is the best way to do that.
